1. 1,4-Butanediol is an important organic chemical and chemical raw material. It is the basic raw materialks for the production of polyethylene terephthalate(PBT) fiber and PBT engineering plastic.

2.1,4-Butanediol is the main raw material for the production of THF.

3. 1,4-Butanediol is the main raw material for the production of γ-butyrolactone, which is mainly used for the production of a-pyrrolidone and N-methyl-2-NMP.

4. 1,4-Butanediol is and important raw material for the production of polyurethane leather, polyurethane elastomer rubber and polyurethane soles.
